Nathan’s industry practice is recognised in complex initiatives and activities. Addressing some of the biggest challenges faced in frontline work and community settings in Australia and Canada.
A natural thinker-doer, Nathan enjoyed a successful career working across various roles in government and non-government organisations. He is passionate about supporting vulnerable and at-risk individuals and earned recognition for his work at both community and professional levels.
Nathan also has a strong connection with understanding complex problems at the heart of people’s conflicts, and transforming situations and difficult interactions into positive outcomes for individuals, families and organisations.
His efforts have led to unearthing the root cause to growing problems, successfully managing crisis-related events, dealing with wide-ranging, often high-risk, elusive issues and shifting challenging behaviours into positive engagements. One of his most memorable career highlights was being nominated for the 2017 WA Emerging Youth Worker Award.
As The Advocate, Nathan shares many great lessons on how to navigate the complex landscape of tricky human activities in life, workplaces and business. With the goal to inspire others to become their own Advocate.
Tricky people are the exact reason I founded The Advocate. They have been a genuine problem in our lives and something we struggle to find support for.
Sadly, most people who encounter a tricky person don’t know how to handle or cope with them. And those who find themselves in difficult situations with them, don’t have someone in their lives to teach, guide, and empower them to deal with the human dynamite sticks that are tricky people.
Thus, The Advocate was born.
